Join us for our May 12th Webinar at 11am.
Dr. Alex Parkhouse, an Assistant Professor in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the School of Public Health at the University of Memphis, will be presenting on the topic of Stress, Stigma, & Mental Health. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The theme for the May webinar will aptly focus on stigma, stress, and mental health. The conversation will highlight conceptual underpinnings of stigma, explore stigma as a source of stress, and demonstrate the importance of resource utilization as a tool to manage potential adverse outcomes on mental health. A special focus of the discussion will address the interpersonal and institutional forces patterning the connections between stigma and mental health.
