April 20, 2022 Lunch and Learn webinar

Combatting the opioid epidemic: lessons learned from the covid-19 pandemic

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our state and our nation have witnessed unprecedented numbers of opioid overdose. This webinar will serve as both a refresher on our pharmacologic tools to combat opioid use disorder along with a look at what our state and federal governments have done to increase treatment accessibility.

S. Cole Green, Pharm.D., MBA, has spent most of the last decade pursuing formal education. After completing a B.A. in biochemistry and subsequently a Pharm.D. and an MBA from the University of Kentucky, he had the privilege of returning to his home state for a managed care pharmacy residency program at the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Dr. Green's training has provided him with an intimate clinical knowledge of pharmacologic therapy along with a strong background of the financial and regulatory factors at play in our healthcare system.
